Meet Your Therapist

Jasmine Dowery, R-D/MT, LMHC

Founder | Licensed Therapist | Registered Dance/Movement Therapist

“Healing is not just personal, it's cultural. True therapy (healing) uplifts your identity, nurtures your roots, and empowers you to carry your legacy forward.”

Hey beloved, I’m Jasmine. A licensed therapist, registered dance/movement therapist, and the heart behind Yemaya Wellness Center. I created this space for high-functioning Black women like you—women who hold it all together, yet crave a place to lay their burdens down.

I know what it’s like to navigate trauma while pushing through high-performance environments. The weight of always being the strong one? It’s real. And it’s exhausting. That’s why my work centers on helping Black women break free from the Superwoman Schema, set boundaries with confidence, and step into the fullness of their healing.

I specialize in working with high-functioning Black women who are:
✔️ Navigating trauma, stress, and burnout in high-performance spaces
✔️ Unlearning emotional suppression and embracing vulnerability
✔️ Seeking culturally attuned therapy that honors their lived experiences
✔️ Craving rest, ease, and softness but don’t know how to access it
